Ray of Light – Happiness Intensified (5 Awards)

award 2

Writers are a little crazy to be honest, the creative imaginations of a writer is like the depth of the ocean. You can’t see how far it will go and certainly the naked eye cannot see the treasures lying around at the bottom of the ocean. We can only see the waves coming, sometimes it’s a big wave and sometimes it’s a little silent calm and soothing wave. The point is that the writer is also like an ocean, we will throw some mesmerizing work or sometimes only mediocre work. We have little thoughts in our mind about our writing especially when the work is mediocre that jolts our hearts and questions arise about our writing. The moment some words of appreciation are thrown on a writer, the faith is restored and some hope and light shines upon, the writer digs deep in their hearts and hidden treasures emerges.

An award is words of encouragement in the moment of doubt and I would like to thank Tanumoy for these awards. Tanumoy needs no introduction as his work speaks volumes and I like reading his blog and the instrumental music soothes your mind taking you into different world.

Link to Tanumoy’s blog –

This is the hard part, something about me that also in the form of ABC but here I will break the rules a bit and write few lines which portray a writer.

I write words,

The words portray my feelings,

Some are happy,

Some are sad,

Some ferment minds of the reader,

Trying to create magic with every word,

Words are my destiny,

Words are my love,

Words are the only thing that I have.

These are the few bloggers who have a wonderful blog and I want to recommend these awards to them.

Keep pouring your hearts out, keep blogging 🙂

Overrated Love

The word “LOVE” is overrated and it is just a word passed on from our ancestors to keep relationships glued together. The continuum of relationships is vastly complicated with different relationships having different definitions of love. Here I am not just stressing on boyfriend-girlfriend relationships but also family relationship, friendships, work colleagues etc. In these relationships love is involved but it varies from relationship to relationship, in some it will be more or less. As we explore more about relationships certain emotions are also involved, these emotions make our relationships strong or weak. These emotions play a vital role in shaping a person’s personality and attitude as well.

In relationships certain amount of expectations are also present. Love and expectations are correlated, where love is concerned certain expectations arise and thus forming a give and take relationship. Certain questions also arise as it is still unclear that the feeling of love which is said to be eternal and with no expectations.

Are we just brainwashed by great poets as they have expressed love to be divine and have painted a greater than life picture in their poems?

Is love just a made up word to sell more roses on Valentine’s Day?

Or the word “Love” actually holds some meaning in our lives? Is love really divine?

Do we just have an idea about love?

Is it the void in our heart filled by great writers by intensifying love in their literature?

What is the truth?

Novak Djokovic – Funny Guy of Tennis

novak-djokovic-11a djokovic

This season of Wimbledon is filled with drama, key players are either out of the tournament or injured. This post is dedicated to one player who is a star and plays his strokes with a lot of fire power; ladies and gentlemen I give you Novak Djokovic. Novak Djokovic is the winner of six grand slam titles and he is the first man to win three consecutive Australian Open titles. Djokovic is the most talented and greatest professional tennis player of all times. Certainly there is no doubt about his professional achievements but I want to expose his funny side.

Let’s explore the comic side of Djokovic, he was seen imitating Maria Sharapova in Wimbledon against a charity match played against Sharapova’s boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov. Djokovic was also doing Gangnam style dance with Serena Williams at Australia Kids day.

Paradise on Earth – Lake District (U.K)

“Lake District is paradise on earth,

It’s like I believe in God but spell it as Nature”

As I was going through some old pictures of family and friends yesterday, I stumbled upon some nature pictures of Lake District. In an instant I went into a blissful mood, the pictures were taken by me when I went to Lake District in England (U.K.). I have discovered a new way of meditation and the natural beauty so mesmerizing just by seeing the pictures your mood will be filled with joy.

Just a little background on Lake District, it is the mountainous region in North-West England which is mainly famous for its mountains, lakes and its association with the famous romantic poet William Wordsworth. Lake District is the Britain’s greenest and finest countryside, having England’s largest lake called Windermere. Windermere is a ribbon lake as it was formed by two glaciers Troutbeck valley and Fairfield Horseshoe. When the glaciers melted the lake was formed. Another lake in this district which serves as a tourist attraction is called Buttermere which has the best walking country in Lakeland as there is a footpath running round the lake.

The scenic region of Lake District which is in Cumbria and Lancashire will certainly cast its spell on anyone who visits this region and I can vouch that after visiting Lake District you will become a nature person. Just to give you guys a glimpse of this paradise on earth I have also appended the pictures of this scenic place.

Buttermere, Windermere and South Lakeland

“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,

There is a rapture on the lonely shore,

There is society, where none intrudes,

By the deep sea, and music in its roar:

I love not man the less, but Nature more”

― George Gordon Byron

Old Familiar Friend

In the crowd I saw a familiar face,
It had been a while since we had met,
The old memories of you and me came to my mind,
I had forgotten your name,
But the feelings remains the same.

The smile on my face told the story,
How much I adored you as the time spent with you was hunky-dory,
In this crowd I spotted a familiar face,
I ran towards you to say some old familiar words.

Your sweet voice touched my heart,
Meeting you is another start,
Old wines and old friends are not apart.

I loved the way we talked till the sunset,
I loved the teasing and the pleasing,
I loved the way when you were by my side,
These are the feeling that I want to show.

A long embrace brought some old memories of you to my mind,
You are a traveler with a zesty soul and a gentle smile,
Full of drama and the fashion sense higher than the empire state,
Sweetest voice with eyes full of hope,
Strong headed and bold as brass,
A little lazy but smart as a whip,
Care and affection runs deep inside you,
You are the real deal,
This is how I feel.

These are some old familiar words that describe you,
Stay in my heart forever my old familiar friend.

Ending it all

An oblivious dream,

About failed dreams, hurting everyone I love,

I stare at my reflection in the mirror,

Sheer revulsion to everything I see,

I cry and wish I wasn’t me.

Life’s cruel jokes I cannot bear,

These pills just give cheap thrills with faux peace,

Memories of anguish and regret shall only hound,

Near and dear ones won’t understand the reason for this misfortune,

They think my broken heart can take these sorrows,

Just tired of failures and these secrets,

I shall abide my thought of ending it all.

Screaming, howling, a final frantic desperate shout,

Save me from this pain and agony,

My 9mm pistol, my only friend,

Trusted friend of mine I keep you close to my heart,

Promise me the pain will be sharp and the end will be near before the sight of my blood.

As they say the night belongs to the poets and the madmen,

I am the mad poet whose verses are dreary,

I haven’t shared my words which depicts my feeble soul carrying the burden of absurd egoism,

I pray to the narcissistic God to reward me a meaningful death.

I am trying to gather every bit of courage left in me,

The time I have been waiting for shall soon be here,

When I shall have no pain and no fear,

I have made up my mind,

My head is filled with the thoughts of ending it all.

This is freedom, freedom from shackles of society, freedom from rigid expectations of the loved ones, freedom from reality and thousand voices whispering don’t be afraid to end it all.

I guess I have written too much about myself in the previous awards that I received from Aditi and Shivani, would like to thank both of them again. This time I guess will just write about these two awards and append some inspiring quotes that gives us motivation to keep writing.

Inspiring blogger and best moment award

Sometimes a writer can get lost for words and every writer needs inspiration to produce an entity which brings out emotions, inspiration, current events, fiction or may be some parts of a writer’s life.  I believe a writer has the capacity to inspire people with their golden words and good writers always write only what is true and nothing else. Now after beating around the bush for quite some time I cannot believe my blog can be words of encouragement, I am overwhelmed.

Some inspiring quotes –

  • “Writing a book is like driving a car at night; you can only see to the end of your headlights … but you can make the whole trip that way.” – E. L.  Doctorow
  • “If you wait for inspiration to write; you’re not a writer, you’re a waiter.” – Dan Poynter
  • “When I am writing, I am doing the thing I was meant to do.” – Anne Sexton
  • “When you speak, your words echo across the room. When you write, your words echo across the ages.” – Chicken Soup for the Writers Soul author Bud Gardner
  • “The six golden rules of writing: Read, Read, Read, and write, write, write, write.”-Ernest Gaines
  • “I never had any doubts about my abilities. I knew I could write. I just had to figure out how to eat while doing this.”
    — Cormac McCarthy

These are the inspiring people I want to recommend for these two awards.

Tears in your eyes

 This time of the night,
Brings a little fear,
Brings a little tears,
But I am holding on,
I am a little scared,
To ask you the reason for your regret.
The sadness in your eyes is prodding my heart,
To give you happiness was my only part,
Now that I don’t know the bitter truth,
This fragile heart of mine cannot take your silent tears,
Hold my hand and we shall abandon this house of blues.
I am suffering in gloomy state-of-affairs,
Melancholy is in the air,
The melancholic secret in your heart and the tainted smile from you to me,
Is driving a prickly pain inside my heart,
Wondering how to interpret your tears and unshackle you of these chains of despair.
Don’t cry my love I can see no more,
These cries of yours resonates inside my soul,
I will drag happiness to your door,
Even if I have to fight with the almighty God once more.
Your silence is forcing me to take this inevitable long plunge into madness.

Nothing on my Mind

The lights are dim and the house is empty,
I see glass bottle in elegant shapes which has liquor in plenty,
Sitting in this bar with a drink in my hand,
Drinking since the sun came up,
With nothing on my mind,
Nothing on my mind.
Old friends,
Old memories,
Now it’s cold and grey,
Some nuts on the side,
And I will finish my drink with pride,
If I drink more I may divulge my secrets,
Some secrets are fine and some are crime.
I walk around the bar with a restless heart,
I don’t know how to play my part,
Which drink I can buy with a dime?
A little bit of tequila with lime.
I see some happy souls and some are sad,
But I take another glass,
I glanced at this girl and now I am eager to talk,
You know what? This holy water might purify my heart,
Another drink I shout,
The bartender asks me how many drinks I had,
A little bit of wine, a little bit whiskey, a little bit of vodka but am still sober,
With nothing on my mind, nothing on my mind.

Resistance and Honor – Lady in Red

Image Image

Masked man in black clothes,

Like a devil with annihilation on his mind,

Trying to unleash his wrath on this girl in the red dress,

The girl in red dress with courage in her eyes and the will to succeed not frightened with their strikes,

This angel will fight even if no one is in her corner,

The pillar of bravery shall fight till glorious triumph.

This picture has gone viral and is making waves in the international media currently. This picture depicts a brave young lady being sprayed with tear gas by a Turkish police man in Istanbul. The ongoing protests began against the demolition of a park so a shopping mall could be built in its place. The peaceful demonstration now has taken a violent turn and a 22 year old girl has been the victim of the brutal action taken by the police.

Is this kind of police brutality should be accepted in any part of the world?
